In the live, this Thursday (30), the president said that he would invite Doria to fly over the region by helicopter, and defended the incentive to "jet ski tourism" in the region
The governor of São Paulo, João Doria (PSDB) rebutted statements by President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) who said, in a live on Facebook, that he would have to cancel a visit to Vale do Ribeira because Doria would reclassify the region as a "red zone" "in the quarantine against the coronavirus.
Doria said Bolsonaro would be welcome if he came to the state, but said the visit should be to advertise investments in the region, not to "tour" by helicopter or jet ski. Vale do Ribeira was reclassified this Friday (31) and will have to close non-essential trade again.
At the live, this Thursday (30), the president said that he would invite Doria to fly over the region by helicopter, and defended the encouragement of "jet ski tourism" in the region. "Jet ski tourism in the Ribeira Valley would be exceptional. To that end, we are talking to the Navy," said Bolsonaro.
"First, I want to wish improvements to President Bolsonaro, who declared yesterday that he has mold in his lungs. And I also wish improvements to the First Lady," said Doria, to amend: "Obviously, he is always welcome. But to visit Vale do Ribeira right now to ride a jet ski on the River Ribeira and take a helicopter is perhaps not the best time ", said the governor of São Paulo.
"The president will always be welcome in São Paulo. But he will be more welcome if he brings improvements, if he brings health, education, contributions to the development of tourism, the economy, entrepreneurship in Vale do Ribeira. Not to take a tour of helicopter and jetski, "said Doria.
"So, let it come. It will always be well received. With education, with promptness. But, if possible, bring good news and bring investments, especially for a poor, needy region like the one in Vale do Ribeira and which needs support in the area of health, education, job creation, entrepreneurship and environmental protection ", added the governor.
Doria also commented on the president's speech about the federal government's agreement for the production of the vaccine under development by the University of Oxford in which the president mocked the origin of the Chinese vaccine that is being tested by the Butantã Institute. Bolsonaro said the product was from Oxford, "It's not from that other country, okay, guys? It's from Oxford," he said.
The governor reacted by associating the speech with the president's ideological views "We do not deal with the vaccine issue from an ideological point of view. Nor could we. We are taking care of science and the protection of people's lives, not political analysis and political regime or I am sorry that President Bolsonaro made such a comment, "said Doria.
